Richard White was born in 1983 into an artistic family. His father is an architect and his mother is a potter. His is the great, great grandchild of Ludwig Fahrenkrog – a leading German impressionist painter. His grandmother Gisela, a portrait painter, was a constant source of influence and encouragement through out his early artistic career.
