My name is David Polonia. I am a France-based art director and graphic designer. I have been working as a freelancer since 2009. As my first ‘real’ installation comes to a steady finish, I have experienced many firsts as a creator. Throughout this process I have pondered which title I fall under, a designer or an artist? I concluded that I, am in fact, both. I have come to realize that conceptual design is, without a doubt, one of the most fascinating aspects in the entire process of creating – from it’s initial start to the day in which the piece is presented
In my work I am exploring the relationship between humans and animals; the idea of the human denial of our animal nature and of humans as the dominant species, as well as the mutation of the animal created by the human interpretation of the animal.
