Nunca imaginei que fosse publicar um artigo aqui sobre maquiagem escultural mas foi isso que aconteceu quando me deparei com o portfolio da Holly Sillius. Ela estudou artes e se formou em Special Effects Makeup na London College of Fashion e já trabalhou com projetos que variam da música ao teatro passando pela passarelas e a televisão.
Esse termo maquiagem escultural surgiu na minha cabeça depois de ver a forma não tradicional com a qual Holly Sillius usa maquiagem para criar estranhas combinações de cores ou pequenas esculturas faciais. É estranho tentar descrever o que vi no portfólio dela mas as imagens abaixo vão facilitar tudo.
With a background in Fine Art and graduating in 2006 with a degree in Special Effects Makeup from the London College of Fashion, I have a broad range of expertise within fashion, music, theatre and film & TV. I started out in make-up, wigs & hair within film, tv and theatre, such as at The Royal Opera House. I now work mainly in fashion for editorials such as i.D and The Hunger; my clients include Damon Albarn and Florence Welch.
